Holiday Art Show Season!

Jingle Bells, Art Sells! I hope…but with the current state of the economy…sheesh, all bets are off, but i’m still down for some end of the year, large format group art shows around the Bay Area.

The Holiday Art show season kicks off at Kaleid Gallery in San Jose this Friday, December 5th from 5 - 9 pm with HARK, their holiday group show featuring over 70 artists. There’s no theme, and each artist was asked to contribute 4 pieces that are 18” or smaller for the show. The gallery is full of variety with over 300 artworks in many different styles on display and for sale. Come through and soak in the vibes! Most of the artists will be in attendance. Myself included. I’m looking forward to seeing all the works and meeting new people. HARK is part of the First Friday event, so make sure to check out some of the other galleries in the area.

Next up is Nielsen Arts and Framing in Solano, East Bay with their annual event, the 510 All Stars. It goes down on Saturday, December 13th from 6-9pm. The 510 All Stars show has been a recurring favorite in the East Bay for the last 10 years. This show gets better with each passing year and with the expanded space of their new shop / gallery it makes for an even better viewing experience. Each artist is given a 10” square wood panel and zero guidelines on what to create. It makes for an interesting mix of content. The art is amazing, but don’t forget to arrive early for the home made Gumbo and the local craft Beer! With over 75 local artists, this lineup is stacked!
