Give a Hoot !
Hoot Hoot! and greetings to all ! What are we doing here? Yes, that’s a fine question and I shall let you know as soon as I figure that out. I’m creating this blog so that I have a way to connect with my supporters, fans, friends and the “owl-curious” out there. We’ll see how this goes. If nothing else, this will be an exercise in creative writing and filling time in my day.
If you’ve found this blog, then you should be familiar with who I am and what I do. If you happened here on accident, then please allow me to introduce myself. I am Nite Owl, an artist based out of Oakland, California. My artistic focus is on Owls, but Color Theory is what I am actually exploring with my artworks. My artistic creations are a response to the everyday blandness of the world that surrounds us. With my owls I strive to add a splash of color and a little whimsy to whatever the canvas may be. Whether it’s a multi-story wall mural, a gallery full of canvases or a sticker on a street sign, if my work puts a smile on your face and transports you away from your everyday reality for a brief moment then I did my job.
While I call the Bay Area home, don’t be surprised to catch some of my owls in faraway places where the locals make funny sounds with their mouths. My owls are frequently sighted in Lake Tahoe, The Abandoned Deserts of Nevada, Florida, New York City, Paris, Tokyo and beyond. I like to flap my wings and get out there and spread some owl love.
Le Hibou est partout.
The Owl is everywhere . . .
