Ruffled Feathers - Iced Out - In Progress

This hand painted canvas, Iced Out, is from the ongoing Ruffled Feathers Collection. The Ruffled Feathers collection debuted at BankRobber LABO in Tokyo in February of 2025.

The Ruffled Feathers series is a return to the early origins of Nite Owl. It is an exploration of color restrained within the boundaries of two dimensional space. White borders are used to create a frame in which the illustrative and expressive owls are contained or expressively flow outside the lines in messy but happy accidents while transcending dimensions of the canvas. After escaping the frames, the owls float above the white surface for a 3D effect.

Iced Out is a museum quality 10 x 10 x 1-1/2” canvas, painted with AlphaKrylik paints from Alpha 6 Paint Corp. and finished with double UV clear coats for protection. Each canvas is signed on the backside by Nite Owl.
